I always sort of forget that i get a royalty check now and then in the mail. The checks are not very big and i never count on the fact that another one will arrive. I am always more than a little surprised when i find the check in the mail, thinking...wow, that book is still out there, leading it's own little life even with all the obstacles it must have to overcome having a 1980's birthday. I was going to put the check in the bank and then i thought i would get a new cell phone instead...to be continued.
