Behavioral Analysis
"He who knows others is learned.
He who knows himself is wise."
-Lao Tse
Today at a staff meeting I was handed a 20 page report all about "me". Every single word was about "me". A complete analysis of my behavioral style with graphs and charts and pages of narrative. This report was handed to me by a visiting consultant - that I met this morning for the very first time and the analysis was based on an online questionaire in which I was asked to rate myself repeatedly by choosing different descriptors..."I am MOST like this - I am LEAST like this" in many, many different areas. Anyway, now I know who I am.
He who knows himself is wise."

WBY - Never Ceasing to Amaze
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
William Butler Yeats
missed this - sorry it took awhile - thanks for the reminder

Thought for Today
"I am done with great things and big plans, great institutions and big success. I am for those tiny, invisible loving human forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing water, which if given time, will rend the hardest monuments of pride."
William James
