Dinner at the Pump House

Beautiful dinner by the river. When I first heard that we were meeting at a restaurant called "The Pumphouse" in Hackettstown, I imagined  burgers and the ubiquitous Ceasar salad with grilled chicken... but no....a vintage bar, escargot, great wine and such perfectly grilled salmon. We arrived early enough to sit by the window and watch the river. Can't wait to go back.

This is what it looks like when a good friend is having a bad time on her birthday.

Autumn

They say summer officially ends today but I don't think so - everything's too lush. Here's the view from the top of Picatinny Road - the loveliest shortcut home and a favorite location for celebrations, toasts and reflections. Here's the view rendered by cell phone.

Recent Work by Christopher Agostino

I have the great pleasure of working with teaching artist, Christopher Agostino. When schools ask me what he does I often say - "he tells stories on faces".  Here is something new he is working on beyond schools - again using the body as a canvas.

Burning Man Festival

Late each august, a temporary experimental community springs up in the black rock desert...the burning man festival.  There's something nice about knowing it's out there...late in summer pushing past the traditional boundaries of art and community.
